Kangana Ranaut looking forward to Ritesh Batra’s film

Actress Kangana Ranaut will reportedly do Ritesh Batra’s film next year. She is said to have “loved the script” narrated by “The Lunchbox” fame director.

According to a source close to the actress, Kangana will do Batra’s film in March after she wraps up her mega project Jhansi Ki Rani. “She loved the script that Ritesh narrated to her and is really looking forward to it,” added the source.

There are also reports that she will be seen with actor Irrfan Khan in the film though the actor recently said that he has had no discussion with Batra or Kangana about joining hands with them for a film. When asked whether she will do the film if Irrfan also joins the cast of the project, the source said she is “really excited about the script and she doesn’t get into casting decisions”.

When asked about this, Irrfan told reporters, “I am not aware of this. Maybe someone suggested that this is possible and people talked about it, and it must’ve leaked from there and got published. We haven’t had any discussion, nor any talks about it.”

The duo was set to work in Divine Lovers, but later, Kangana pulled out of the project citing date issues. Post this development, Irrfan, 49, had sarcastically remarked that the Tanu Weds Manu Returns actress had become too big to play his heroine and she would rather be a hero.

“She would rather leave them to her directors,” said the source. The two actors were last seen in Anurag Basu’s 2007 film Life in a Metro.
